(Guitar, Voice, Piano, Songwriting, Music Production)

Julia has been studying, writing and performing music since she was 5 years old. She started teaching guitar, bass and piano when she was 10! AT 17, she released her first self-produced album, then served as singer/songwriter/guitarist fronting several bands from New York to California (where she also studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UC Santa Cruz). After moving to Austin TX in 2009, she formed the soul-rock duo Fifth Nation which went on to perform over 500 shows around the USA while releasing multiple albums and music videos.
After the band she created several solo projects while working as a producer and studio musician for a variety of diverse artists from Texas to Georgia. Through this time of creative expansion she created across the genres of R&B, jazz, hip hop, folk, pop, grunge, country, EDM, blues and more. All along, she continued teaching several instruments as well as production software and engineering. Julia was honored to be welcomed onto the CHMA team in March 2023, where she now instructs in the arts of piano, guitar, singing and songwriting. “I love teaching because I love my students!”
