Lesson Cancellations

  • All students are allowed up to 1 cancellation per month that is excused from your bill.
    • Any additional cancellations are eligible for makeup ONLY.
    • Makeups must be done within 30 days from the lesson cancellation date. 
    • It is up to the parent/student to reach out to schedule makeups. 
    • If your schedule does not allow for a makeup with your current instructor, the makeup could be with a different instructor for your same instrument or another instrument. 
    • Any cancellations due to the instructor being out sick or away are automatically excused from your bill if you do not wish to make up the lesson.
    • Any cancellations due to CHMA being closed are automatically excused from your bill if you do no wish to make up the lesson.
  • Sick cancellations must be made by 9AM the day of at latest to be excused. Any notice made after 9AM up to the start of the lesson day is eligible for makeup ONLY. If there is no notice, the lesson is considered a No Show (NS). 
  • Early cancellations must be made by 7PM the business day before at latest to be excused. Anything after is considered a late cancellation. 
  • Late cancellations and No Shows that are not sickness/emergency related are NOT eligible for makeup/credit. 

*PLEASE NOTE: Any extenuating circumstances for scheduling will be handled on a case by case basis.*

Lesson Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests must be made by 7PM the business day before at latest. 
  • Same day reschedules are done at the discretion of the instructor and are not guaranteed.

Lesson Schedule / Closures

  • As we have students from multiple school districts, we DO NOT follow any one specific school’s calendar for holiday, break or weather related closures. If we ever have to close due to weather, an email will be sent out to all affected students and families. 
  • We are closed for the following holidays ONLY. Any holiday that is NOT listed below, please note that we are open for normal lessons/rehearsals unless you are otherwise notified by us.
    • Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day
  • We are closed for (2) breaks a year. Our Winter Break is generally the week between Christmas and New Years and our Summer Break is generally the week of July 4th. Specific dates will be listed/emailed.
